A few years ago someone asked me about the njoy Pure Wand, an 8 inch stainless steel dildo that has long been on a list of favorites from reviewers across the spectrum. I’ve always been curious about it, but due to its price and, sadly, the availability from retailers we’ve partnered with, I just never got around to grabbing one.
Just recently, we were contacted by our friends at Le Wand, and they asked if I’d be interested in testing a few items, including something from their Steel Line.
I’ve never said yes faster.
Le Wand has, as part of their Steel Line, the Le Wand Hoop. Hoop is a 10.3-inch marvel that has a weight of 1.39 pounds or 630g. In other words, Hoop has serious heft, and when you first hold it in your hands, it’s perfectly fine to wonder what the hell you’re getting yourself into. The toy is made from medical-grade 316 stainless steel and contains molybdenum, which improves the toy’s resistance to salt and chemicals. I struggle to call Hoop a toy, though I’m well aware of the fact that I use it to play with myself. Hoop is a tool; it’s a tool that isn’t in your hand to fuck around with, it’s in your hand to get to work, and dear reader, this toy goes to work in a hurry.
I’m not sure about putting a cold toy, or tool in this case, like Hoop to my vulva, so before I took Hoop out for my first go, I placed it between my folded heating pad. Nothing too crazy; I wasn’t looking to brand myself or anything like that but I wanted the toy to be more comfortable as it made contact with such a delicate space. I rubbed a little lube on myself prior to using Hoop, and for the first time in quite a while I used my Uberlube. Most of my toys have a silicone feature, so I’m typically one to favor using a water-based lube. With Hoop, it was Uberlube that I used, and I loved this so much. Some people boil their stainless steel toys; I just used hot water and the soap. The great thing about Hoop, and other toys in the Steel Line, is that they are non-porous, so hot water and soap will do the trick. I’ve also used a toy cleaner that we had handy, but this isn’t always necessary.
I’m a huge fan of Hoop and hope to be able to test some of the other toys in this lineup. Le Wand has just such a good thing on their hands with Hoop, and the fact that the price of Hoop is less than the similar njoy-branded model makes it something to consider.
